Yasmine Soiffer is an award-wining photographer. Her most recent work is on Israel and the
Palestinian territories, including stories on settlers, on Bethlehem, and on Nightlife in Ramalah. She
was recently awarded 3rd place for an Editorial Photo Essay in the International Photography Awards
and is also a Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Community Arts Grant Recipient. She graduated
from the General Studies program at the International Center of Photography in 2008, and has since
had exhibitions in New York, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv and worked on documentary, culture, and news
stories and singles in Tel Aviv, as well as photographing for various organizations and completing
commissioned portraits. Clients include CS Monitor, Time Out Magazine, W Magazine, Walla, and
Green Action.
Yasmine was born in Sri Lanka, and, as the child of diplomats, called Pakistan, Israel, Japan,
Virginia, Paris, and Ivory Coast home by the time she settled in New York City to attend university.
Before turning her eye to photography, she worked as a performer in the theatre and taught
English/ESL.
She is currently in New York City, and available for assignments worldwide.
